Press Release

MotoSport.com/TiLUBE/Foremost Insurance SX Round 8 Race

RIVERSIDE,
Calif. (February 27, 2012).  A capacity crowd of 71,009 filled the
Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga. on Saturday night to watch some exciting
Supercross racing. The MotoSport.com TiLUBE Foremost Insurance team was in attendance and helped provide the Georgia crowd with some thrilling action.

The duo of Nick Wey and Justin Sipes completed the daytime qualifing sessions in 11th and 18th position, respecitvely.

Focused
and determined, Sipes lined up for heat race one and pulled a good
top-10 start. After a hard fought race, the result was an eighth place
finish and a direct qualifying spot in the main event. As Wey lined up
for heat race two he had plans of replicating his teammate’s qualifying
ride.  With a good start and steady laps, Wey qualified in seventh
position and joined his teammate on the line for the main event.

Both of the MotoSport.com TiLUBE Foremost Insurance riders made it cleanly through the first lap of the main event with Wey in 11th and Sipes in 15th.
Wey set his sights forward and began to battle with Kyle Chisholm.
They battled for almost half the race before Wey was able to make a
clean pass and put some time between himself and Chisholm.  Sipes was
also riding well and looking confident.  On the seventh lap, Sipes got a
little cross-rutted, clipped a tough block and was sent to ground
hard.  Determined to get as many points as possible, he remounted, and
after a quick stop in the mechanic’s area, returned to the race down a
few laps. By this time, Wey had worked through the pack up to ninth
position and was looking at his best finish of the season. As the laps
started to wind down, Kevin Windham pressured Wey heavily. Wey put up a
valiant fight but Windham snuck by in the closing laps. Wey would go on
to tie his best finish of the season in 10th, while his teammate crossed the line in 19th.

“I
am happy that I was able to qualify directly to the main event from my
heat race,” said Sipes. “I made a small mistake in the main and went
down hard. Fortunately, I was able to get up and finish because it
definitely could have been much worse.”

“These
last two races have been very encouraging,” said Wey following the
race. “I’m going to continue pushing myself and I’m looking forward to
the upcoming races.”

Next
week the series travels to the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Mo. for
the ninth round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series.  Be sure to
stop by the MotoSport.com/TiLUBE/Foremost Insurance
Team truck to show your support and to have your picture taken with
Nick Wey, Chris Blose, and Justin Sipes from 12:30 pm – 5:30 pm.  See
you there!
