MotoConcepts Racing Management Changes for 2010

Spokane, Wash. (December 22, 2009) – MotoConcepts Racing is excited to announce the promotion of Michael Young as Team Manager for the 2010 race year. Young joined MotoConcepts Racing in November as Assistant Manager to Steve Lamson. His abilities allow for his promotion and free up former manager Lamson to pursue a career within MotoConcepts corporate, as the Product Promotion Manager.

“We are utilizing the assets we have in the best possible areas for 2010”, stated Team Owner Mike Genova. “MotoConcepts is in a growth period and having Steve join our executive team gives the company many options as we develop new product lines and promote the products we currently manufacture. We are very thankful for the job Steve did last year as Team Manager and are excited about the spotlight and promotional opportunities’ only a “Steve Lamson” can bring to MotoConcepts,” continued Genova. “With the emergence of Michael Young and his capabilities, we are comfortable making this structural change successfully and provide Lamson and Young the new opportunity they were both looking for.”

As Product Promotion Manager, Lamson will be free to pursue customers across the country promoting the MotoConcepts line of products. He will also maintain his contact with the race team and provide his racing expertise as a consultant with the riders at races and as they train during the week.

“Having Steve part of the product promotion and development side will be a great asset as we move forward,” stated Vice President Eddie Wood. “I have pushed to have the flexibility for Lammy to join us at trade shows, amateur races, and part of the sales team. As Team Manager, he was locked down much of the year, but with this structure we have a great front man to promote and help grow MotoConcepts.”

“This is a positive change for me,” stated Lamson. “There are many aspects of the team management position I won’t miss and with this position I will still get to participate in the area I enjoy the most, rider development. We are looking to develop new product lines and potentially different signature series lines that I will be closely involved with,” continued Lamson. “I enjoy running riding schools and the added opportunity to run a MotoConcepts Riding School division is also something we are looking at for 2010.”

After many successful years as a professional racer and test rider, Michael Young begins his career as a professional race Team Manager.

“Michael has been an outstanding addition to our race program,” commented Genova. “He is eager to prove himself and was very desirous to move into the lead management spot for the team when the opportunity arose. Mike has all the tools it takes to be a top level manager with his strong work ethic, organizational skills, and intelligence. His knowledge of racing is also a tremendous added value to our mechanics and riders.”
