MotoConcepts Continues Streak – Sipes Second in Dallas

Spokane, Wash. (March 23,
2010) – The 2010 AMA Monster Energy Supercross series and
MotoConcepts Racing enjoyed a successful stop in the lone star state
last
Saturday night.  The venue was arguably the most impressive race scene
the
series has ever experienced, as it took place in the stunning new
Cowboys
Stadium.  For the fifth week in a row, a MotoConcepts Yamaha was the
first
Yamaha to cross the finish line in the 250 class.

In
the 250
East class, Ryan Sipes has enjoyed his most successful season to date
and last
Saturday night marked best finish of his pro career.  After a strong
third
place finish in heat one, Sipes advanced to the main where he avoided a
major
first turn pileup to nail the holeshot.  The Kentucky native lead
thirteen
straight laps before some back luck and the wrong line around a lapped
rider cost
him the lead.  Still, number 46 crossed the line in second and recorded
his first podium finish of 2010.  After five round of action in the East
250 class, Sipes sits fourth
overall.

“What
a
great night collectively for our team and Ryan,” stated Team Manager
Michael Young.  “So much hard work and dedication goes into each
race by our mechanics and riders each week, it was great to get on the
podium
and celebrate the hard work.  Sipes is a podium threat every race and Saturday
night
it came together.”

The
good
fortune Sipes was able to enjoy was not shared by all, as Vince Friese
(Free-ZEE) battled through his toughest event of the year.  After a
couple
hard crashes in practice, the Missouri native advanced to the night show
with a
hole bitten in his tongue and a very sore neck.  A first corner crash in
heat one left his front brake rotor severely bent, preventing him from
continuing.  In the 250 LCQ, number 61 didn’t get the start he
wanted and after working past a few riders, was able to only muster a
fourth
place finish and missed his first main of the year.  Friese will be back
and ready to go this Saturday
night
in Jacksonville, FL.

In
the 450
class Kyle Chisholm enjoyed a successful evening.  After a solid fourth
place finish in heat number one, number 55 cruised in the top ten all
night
long in the main and came home in 8th place.  With another
top
ten finish under his belt, the Florida native continued to secure his
overall
place in the Supercross class and sits comfortably in 9th
place.

Thank
you to
all the sponsors who helped make the Dallas Supercross a success for
MotoConcepts Racing as the second year team celebrated their first
podium
finish.
