Moose Racing - On The Podium‏

For the fifth time in the 2010 Can-AM GNCC Racing
season Moose Racing rider Josh Strang stepped to the top of the podium
to claim a victory. The Titan GNCC held in Lafayette, Tenn. was the
site of Strang’s most recent win and it was by no means an easy one.

Throughout
the entire race Strang battled for the lead with his championship
rival, Charlie Mullins. Strang appeared to have the race under control
until a run-in with a lap rider allowed Mullins to take the lead.

Strang quickly got going again and set
out after Mullins. He would catch him, pass him and go on to win his
fifth GNCC of the year. The win also helped to increase Strang’s lead
in the overall championship standings to 29 points.

"Charlie
and I had an awesome race today and I think we both had fun," said
Strang. "We were wheel to wheel for most of the race, and at one point
I hit a lapper and Charlie got by me, but things worked in our favor
and we moved a little closer to the championship."

Mathematically
Mullins is still in the championship hunt with only two rounds
remaining. If Strang can maintain at least a 25-point margin over
Mulllins after the next round on October 5 – 6, 2010 in St.
Clarksville, Ohio, he will become the new XC1-class champion.

In the XC-2 class, team rider Jesse Robinson earned himself a well deserved second place finish.

Another
Moose Racing rider, Jordan Ashburn took home some hardware in the form
of the Overall Amateur Award. Ashburn won the Open A division while
also finishing a respectable 14th overall against the XC1 and XC2
riders and wrapping up the Overall Amateur title.

Recently, two
other Moose Racing GNCC competitors made a visit to one of the Parts
Unlimited annual dealer rides. The ride was held in the Upper Peninsula
of Michigan and Jimmy Jarrett and Scotty Watkins stopped by for a
visit. Between riding sessions we had them interview each other about
their seasons and what it was like riding with some of the loyal Parts
Unlimited dealers.
