Moose Racing - On The Podium

Last
weekend’s GNCC in Snowshoe, W. Va. was one of the most challenging
rounds thus far. The Snowshoe GNCC lived up to its title of “America’s
Toughest Race” after seven different riders battled for the lead
throughout the three-hour race. In the end it was Moose Racing’s Josh
Strang who would make a pass near the end of the last lap to take to
lead and finish the race with only a two second advantage.

“I
was just hoping to finish up front and I was happy to follow Nate
(Kanney)…If I could have followed him over the line I would have been
happy, so to get in front of him there at the end and get the win was
fantastic." said Strang after taking the checkered flag.

With the
win, Josh took the generous overall purse of $5,000 and extended his
points lead in the 2011 GNCC series to 11 points over second place.

In
the XC2 division, Moose Racing’s Jesse Robinson came into Snowshoe
looking for the win after nearly winning last year’s event. After
battling the extreme conditions of the Snowshoe course, Jesse finished a
respectable second overall.

"Just
making it through this race with your bike in one piece is a plus,"
said Robinson. "There was nothing pretty about my ride, I just held on
to the handle bars and took it to the finish."

Robinson sits fourth overall in the point standings and is one of only three riders to win an overall this season.

The next round of the GNCC series comes on July 9 -10 when the riders roll into Millfield, Ohio for the Wiseco John Penton GNCC.
