The Podium in Los Angeles Yields his 9th X Games Medal
July 29, 2010 – Corona, CA – Tonight Nate Adams returned to Moto X Freestyle at X Games 16 inside
the L.A. Memorial Coliseum and took the bronze. Itʼs the Monster Energy athleteʼs ninth X Games medal, and his sixth in the event, an amazing accomplishment given the level of riding out there.
“I really wanted gold, but am happy I kept the streak alive,” said Adams. “Iʼve medaled every year.”
Adams has a reputation as a calculated trick machine, and his performance tonight certainly lived up to
that. After easily progressing through the early round, all of his runs in the finals were impressive and
methodical. His bronze medal run included a 360 flip (heʼs one of the only riders doing this trick), a lazy
boy backflip, a one-handed flip, and a Cordova flip.
On Sunday Speed and Style returns to the X Games line up after a hiatus. Look for Adams in that event,
where heʼs listed as a favorite. For more on Adams and Monster Energy at X Games 16, visit
