Monster Energy/Thor/Leading Edge Kawasaki Tastes Victory at Chilliwack

Brady Sheren takes first career Arenacross win

Kamloops, B.C. (Jan 10, 2010) The 2009-10 Nex-Trax Canadian Arenacross series hit the home stretch this weekend as rounds six and seven took place at Chilliwack, B.C's Heritage Park. With the series reaching it's penultimate weekend, the Monster Energy/Thor/Leading Edge Kawasaki team looked to leave Chilliwack on a high note and the riders certainly didn't disappoint.

Supercross veteran and White Rock, B.C. native, Brady Sheren, has been getting back up to speed during the course of the series after a summer off and he hit his stride this weekend. After finishing with a fifth and a third on Friday night, Sheren came out swinging on Saturday and proved to be the class of the field. After finishing a close second in the Lites class main event, Sheren grabbed the lead from early leader, Kyle Beaton, in the Open class main event and never looked back, taking his first Arenacross victory. With one more double header left, Sheren sits in third in the Championship standings in both classes.

Not to be outdone, fellow Leading Edge rider, Brock Hoyer, found the podium in all four main events. After finishing third in Friday's Lites main and second in the Open main, Hoyer came back out and grabbed a pair of thirds during Saturday's action. His consistent podium presence has him sitting in second place in the Championship for both classes. The team's other rider, Kris Foster, had a few unfortunate crashes but still managed to snag a fourth in Saturday's Lites main event, completing the teams 2-3-4 run.

The series now takes a two month break before resuming on March 12th and 13th at Penticton, B.C.'s brand new South Okanagan Events Center. With a chance to finish One-Two in the Championship the team will be bringing everything they've got to the final weekend.
