Monster Energy Signs Multi-Year Deal as Title Sponsor of the Monster Energy Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross at Daytona

Morgantown, W. Va. (March 8, 2012) -

When MX Sports joined forces with Ricky Carmichael in 2010, it brought
forth a strong partnership comprised of MX Sports' thirty plus years of
amateur motocross experience at Loretta Lynn Ranch, combined with
Ricky's name and longtime sponsors, to create the Ricky Carmichael
Amateur Supercross event. To top it off, Daytona International Speedway
joined the equation, giving amateur racers the unprecedented opportunity
to race the Daytona Supercross By Honda track a day after their
favorite pros went to battle. After two successful years of amateur
supercross, MX Sports is pleased to announce Monster Energy as the title
sponsor of the 3rd Annual Monster Energy Ricky Carmichael Amateur
Supercross at Daytona (RCSX), featuring two full days of amateur racing
on Sunday, March 11 and Monday, March 12.

"The
announcement of Monster Energy as the title sponsor is very significant
in our plan to build this event as the world's premiere amateur
supercross," said Tim Cotter, MX Sports Event Director.

As
one of the most recognizable names in the industry, Monster Energy's
presence can be seen all over the AMA Supercross circuit and throughout
the pro paddocks on teams and riders. Monster Energy has been a
supporter of Ricky Carmichael's racing career on both two-wheels and
four, making the multi-year title sponsorship no surprise to those
involved.

"Monster
Energy has really supported my racing career over the years and I
couldn't be more excited to have them on board for my amateur supercross
at Daytona as well," said Ricky Carmichael, 15-Time Champion. "They
have such a huge presence in supercross already and to bring the same
level of excitement to the amateur program is really a cool thing for
these up-and-coming racers."

Monster
Energy's partnership with the Ricky Carmichael-endorsed event includes a
significant presence by Monster all weekend long, beginning Saturday
night with a unique viewing area for amateur racers and their families
to enjoy the Daytona Supercross By Honda.

Move-in
for amateur racers begins at 5 p.m. Friday and takes place throughout
the day Saturday. On Sunday, Amateur practice begins at 7:30 a.m.,
followed by Rider's Meeting and heat races. If time permits, last chance
qualifying sessions (LCQ) will begin on Sunday afternoon. Monday
morning kicks off with the remainder of LCQ's and Main Events will
follow.
