Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki Riders Carry Momentum to Texas

CORONA,
Calif.
(May 26, 2011) – The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team
looks to continue their opening-weekend success as the circuit heads to
Freestone Raceway in Wortham, Texas for the second round of the AMA
Motocross Championships Series.

Blake Baggett

After
winning the season opener in California, Blake Baggett carries the most
momentum into Texas. Although his 2010 scores don’t show it, Baggett
rides well at the Texas track and looks to make it back-to-back wins.

“I’m feeling good right now and I want to bounce back with another top
finish in Texas,”said Baggett. “That is the best way to show people
that I am here for the championship, not just to end up with a win. You
couldn’t tell from my results, but I rode well in Texas last year. I
definitely want to keep the momentum rolling my way so hopefully it
will be good.”

Dean Wilson

Nearly
earning the overall win last week, Dean Wilson is fired up to capture
his first overall of the season. He already has a moto win and is ready
to put two solid motos together as he goes after his third-career
motocross overall victory.

“I was really close to
winning last week, but I made some mistakes that kept me from the
overall,”said Wilson. “It makes me even more fired up to go back and
get a win. I know I have the speed, I just need to try and keep myself
from making stupid mistakes. It would be good to go out and redeem
myself after my finish in Texas last year.”

Tyla Rattray

Tyla
Rattray reminded motocross fans that he has the speed to ride up front
after leading most of the 250 second moto. His comeback ride landed him
on the podium and he is training hard to improve his finish this
weekend in Texas.

“I’ve been working really hard and
I know that I have the endurance to be there at the end,” said Rattray.
“It will be really physical this weekend with the heat and humidity and
I think I can be there when it gets rough at the end.”

Broc Tickle

After
two come-from-behind motos in California, Broc Tickle is looking
forward to getting two good starts in Texas. He showed speed as he rode
through the pack, but his speed is better proven at the front.

“I felt good, but had some bad luck going down and having to come from
behind,” said Tickle. “Hopefully I can get some better starts this
weekend so I can start up where it counts and make my move for some
wins. I like Freestone and I’m really looking forward to the getting
out in the heat.”

The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team heads to the second round
of the AMA Motocross Championship at Freestone Raceway in Wortham,
Texas. Baggett currerntly leads the 250 Motocross class with 47 points,
while Wilson is close behind with 45. Rattray hold down third with 38,
while Tickle sits in ninth with 22 points.
