Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki Rider Darryn Durham Injured During Practice

CORONA
,
Calif. (November 15, 2011) - Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider
Darryn Durham sustained a wrist injury following a practice crash Friday
at the Kawasaki test track. The newest Pro Circuit Race Team member was
taken to the hospital immediately following the accident, where the
doctor informed him he had a slight fracture of the wrist.

The
Pennsylvania native had surgery that night to insert a screw in his
wrist, which should help speed up the recovery process. Expected to be
in a cast for four weeks, Durham is optimistic he will be ready in time
for the start of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross season.

“Everything
is going good,” Durham said recently.  “It is just a minor set back,
but I will be ready for the season at the beginning of January.”

Team
owner Mitch Payton added, “It’s unfortunate. Darryn was looking good on
the bike. With time and through rehabilitation, we hope he can get back
on the bike soon.”

The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team
starts the season just after the New Year, with the opening round of
the AMA Supercross Championship from Anaheim’s Angel Stadium on
Saturday, January 7.
