Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki Looks to Keep Win Streak Alive in Washington

CORONA
,
Calif. (July 21, 2011) - The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team
enters Round 8 of the AMA Motocross Championship at Washougal MX in
Washougal, Wash. with a current win streak of seven overall wins and 14
moto victories since the start of the season. Tyla Rattray, Dean Wilson,
Blake Baggett, and Broc Tickle are all hungry to be that racer that
brings the streak up to eight overall wins.

Tyla Rattray

Earning
his third overall win of the season last weekend, Rattray hopes to keep
the momentum going before the series takes a two-week break. His good
starts in both motos helped keep him out front and Rattray is looking to
keep the starts coming in Washington.

"Washougal is a tough
track because its usually very slick," said Rattray. "Getting a good
start will help me not have to ride over my head on a track that can
bite you for pushing too hard. It should be a good race and I'm really
going to be looking forward to the break that comes after we finish out
the weekend."

Dean Wilson

Although
Wilson hasn't been able to make his way to the top of the podium, he is
content with the possibilities of what second place has brought him.
The current points leader has only been off the podium once with a
fourth-place finish, but he'll take a win if it comes his way.

"I
was thinking I would have won by the halfway point in the series, but
I'll take the red plate," said Wilson. "I know I've been working hard
and my teammates make for stiff competition. I just hope I can get a win
and it would be great to go into the break on top."

Blake Baggett

Baggett
enters the eighth round with a series-high four overall wins and seven
moto victories. After having the success this season, Baggett doesn't
like settling for anything but perfection, which is what he will be
looking to achieve at Washougal.

"I remember liking this track
when I was younger, but I haven't been there in a while so we'll see how
it goes," said Baggett. "I wasn't too happy with my performance in
Millville so I'll be looking to get some better starts. That really hurt
me having to make my way through the pack in such tough conditions."

Broc Tickle

Earning
another good finish last weekend, Tickle has made it a goal to get back
on the podium in Washington. He already has a podium from a single moto
and is hoping he can put the two motos together this weekend.

"Overall
this season I think I have been improving race by race," said Tickle.
"I didn't ride my best last weekend, but I know that I have it in me to
ride better. Last year I broke my collarbone at Washougal so I'm hoping
to put that bad memory behind me and bring out a good memory this year."

The
Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team will race in Washougal, Wash.
for the eighth of twelve rounds of the AMA Motocross Championships
series. After seven rounds, Wilson retained the lead with 305 points,
while Rattray moved into second with 289 points over Baggett’s 284
points in third. Tickle maintained sixth with 170 points.
