Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green™ Continues Winning Ways at Oak Hill

Irvine, Calif. (March 24, 2008) – Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green riders walked away from the GNC Final with an impressive nine championships and an 22 additional podium finishes at Oak Hill Raceway in Alvord, Texas. The event, which saw entries increase by more than 400 riders, was a huge success. Even with rain earlier in the week and threatening on the last day, the event went smoothly and even finished a day early allowing the attendees to get home for the end of the holiday weekend.

The Race of the Weekend
Motosport Xtreme Team Green’s P.J. Larsen raced what could be called the “race of the weekend” when he came from behind in the 125A Modified second moto to take the win and the title. As he made his way through the pack up to third, he went down putting him back to seventh. In one lap he caught back up to third and made an exciting pass for the lead on the last lap.

“I got a decent start during the second moto,” said Larsen. “After I went down I thought I would be lucky to get on the podium. I didn’t have very many laps to get back to first but somehow I did it.”

Two More to the List
Adam Cianciarulo added another two championships to his ever-growing list of accomplishments. He won every moto in the 85cc 7-11 Modified and 85cc 7-11 Stock classes.

At the Top
After two podium finishes last week at the Lake Whitney Spring Classic, Motosport Xtreme Team Green rider Dean Wilson made his way to the top step of the podium not once but twice. He won both motos in the 125 Intermediate Stock class and went 2-1 in the 250 4-Stroke Non-Pro Modified class. Wilson also earned two additional podiums by taking second overall in the 250 Intermediate Modified and Stock classes.

“I really wanted to win after getting so close at a few championships last week,” said Wilson. “My qualifiers went well and I knew my lap times were there. I was pretty determined to get at least one championship and once I did I really felt good to get a few more. I knew if I got the start I could win.”

Priceless
Coming off her championship at the Lake Whitney Spring Classic, Sara Price earned another championship at the GNC Final. She led nearly every lap in both motos in the Women’s 99cc-250F Non-Pro class, showing another impressive ride on her Kawasaki KX™250F.

Picking Up Where He Left Off
Like many of the other Kawasaki riders, Keith Johnson added to his list of championships from the Lake Whitney Spring Classic and earned the 35 Plus championship.
