Payson, UT (Apr. 23, 2017) – After a week off, Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS returned to racing as the 15th round of Monster Energy Supercross returned to Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City. As it was the home race for team title sponsor Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, Davi Millsaps and Blake Baggett raced hard to top ten rides.

Davi Millsaps started his night off right with an impressive win in his semi. After starting in 4th place, Davi powered his way to the front, making a pass for the lead through the long whoop section on the last lap and taking the win.
In the main event, Davi overcame a mid-pack start and worked his way up through the field early on. His hard-charging ride on the technical Salt Lake City track propelled him inside the top ten. His momentum carried him to a 7th place finish at the checkered flag.

“I rode well tonight,” said Davi. “I felt good out there, and I had the speed; I just didn’t get the start I needed. We will prepare for next week and be strong these last two races.”

Blake Baggett: 8th Place (450SX)

Blake Baggett made his way to the main event through a solid ride in his heat race. After blasting off the gate inside the front pack, Blake continued to hit his lines each lap and transferred directly to the main event with a 4th place finish.

In the main, Blake used the excellent grip of the Dunlop tires to launch out of the gate and rounded the first turn inside the top five. Getting shuffled around on the first lap, Blake would settle in around 8th position. He then got focused and methodically picked off one guy at a time, and soon found himself in 4th place. While trying to pass Josh Grant for 3rd, he shoved it into a corner a little to hot and ended up on the ground. Blake would remount in 8th, only to go down in the same turn for a second time two laps later.

This time Blake would remount in 11th, and use the long lapped main event to his advantage – working his way back up to 8th by races end.
“My starts were good tonight,” said Blake. “I felt strong out there on the tough track. I went down a few times out there that prevented me from obtaining that podium spot. I am looking forward to these next two races and grabbing another podium before the end of the season.”

Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS returns to the East Coast and to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey for the second-to-last round of the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross series.
