Main Event Cut Short For Chris Alldredge In Santa Clara

Corona, Calif. (April 13, 2015) - Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's Chris Alldredge had his race cut short in the Santa Clara main event.

Over At The Start
Chris Alldredge was riding strong early this weekend in Santa Clara.  In practice, Alldredge laid down some solid laps, clocking the 8th quickest time.  And in his heat race, Alldredge again rode well, finishing in the 5th slot at the checkered flag.  Everything seemed lining up for what he hoped would be his first podium finish this season.

When the gates dropped in the main event, Alldredge had a nailed the throttle and was in good positing before the pack hit the first corner.  However, another rider cut in front of him.  The abrupt move cause Alldredge to wipe out and snap his handlebars in two, taking him out of the race.

"I was right there and as we got to the first turn, but then I got cut off and had to get on the brakes which sent me to the ground," said Alldgredge after the main event. "I felt really good and think I could have run with the leaders during the race."
