MSR Welcomes Paul Whibley to Am-Pro Yamaha

Corona, CA - Team Am-Pro Yamaha and MSR are pleased to announce the latest addition to their off-road athletes, 2009 GNCC XC1 and OMA Champion Paul Whibley. After finishing second to the Knighter in ’08 with 3 wins, Paul stepped it up a notch in ’09 and took top honors with 5 wins and some close racing all season long in the GNCC’s, but then clearly demolished the field at the OMA’s winning all 10 events.

Paul joins GNCC Champs Barry Hawk and Thad Duvall on the MSR Am-Pro team With Am-Pro packing such a potent team of athletes, it’s quite possible you could see an MSR sweep multiple times over the course of the 2010 race season.

“We are very excited to have Paul join the team. Paul will increase the winning depth of our team and compliment the overall efforts of both Barry Hawk and Thad Duvall. Look for the Am-Pro/ Yamaha riders to be on the podium a lot in 2010 and back to winning championships," said team owner Randy Hawkins.

"MSR couldn't be more ecstatic to have Paul Whibley joining the Am Pro Yamaha team. Off-Road racing is a huge part of MSR and having Whibley join an already talented team will make for a great season”, states MSR's Marketing manager Randy Valade.

About MSR

MSR (Malcolm Smith Racing) started in 1971 when motocross legend Malcolm Smith decided to create a company that manufactured motocross protective gear for dirt bike athletes. Malcolm began by importing nylon-lined throttle and brake cables from Europe, which sold like hotcakes in America and his accessory business, Malcolm Smith Racing products was born. Soon afterwards he began selling jerseys, then boots and finally just about every accessory available for off-road bikes. From that small starting point, it has grown into a multi-million dollar company that not only specializes in motocross apparel, but has also extended its products to dirt bike hard parts, protective armor and lifestyle casuals. MSR is one of the leading manufacturers in the motocross industry today.
