Press Release

MDK/Warthog Racing/MotoConcepts/U.S. Air Force to Invade Sheffield SX

The MDK/Warthog Racing Academy Privateer Support Program in conjunction with its Warthog Nation member teams MotoConcepts and the U.S. Air Force will be sending an international arsenal of riders over to do battle with the UK’s finest at the October 25th, 2009 Sheffield Supercross – The first round of the British Supercross Championship.

Riding directly for the MDK/Warthog Racing Academy/MotoConcepts team is Tyler Bright in the SX1 class. Tyler is determined to battle the always tough Tommy Searle for the victory at Sheffield as the 18 year old has excellent Arenacross skills. Tyler will be riding a Suzuki provided by Nick of DK Offroad and other supporters include TT Incorporated, AXO, Bell Helmets, Liquid Performance, and Full Travel suspension.

Jeff Alessi rode for the MDK/Warthog Racing Academy during the AMA National series and has now graduated up to the elite MotoConcepts team, the first member team of the Warthog Nation. Jeff will be getting it on in the SX1 class against stiff competition, hoping to repeat last year’s victory and nail down the first win for the new MotoConcepts team. Jeff’s will be riding a Honda supplied by PAR Honda and his other sponsors include Alpinestars, Shark Helmets, and Race Tech suspension.

Next up on the roster is Frenchman Benjamin Coisy, another member of the MotoConcepts team and a favorite to win the SX1 class at Sheffield. Ben has been cleaning up lately at the European Supercross races, winning every race he enters. He will be tough to beat, especially with a Honda adorned with custom graphics from DeCal Works sporting the Warthog emblem, the symbol of determination and excellence. Rounding out Ben’s support team are PAR Honda, Shot Gear, and Shark Helmets.

Last but not least, former FIM Supercross World Champion Heath Voss will be making the long trip from San Antonio, Texas to represent the U.S. Air Force and MasterCraft Boats. Heath is a charter member of the Warthog Nation, having led the MDK/Warthog Racing Academy to an all time best season in the 2008 AMA Supercross series. Look for Heath to be up front all night long in Sheffield under the watchful eye of Retired U.S. Army Colonel Jack Pryor. Voss will be riding a Honda provided by PAR Honda.

As always, longtime MDK/Warthog Racing Academy/MotoConcepts sponsor the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute will be there to help. A recent graduate from the MMI/Warthog Racing Internship program, Derrick Dwyer, will be the technician for Jeff Alessi at Sheffield. Derrick holds the AMA Supercross record, having simultaneously wrenched three riders at the 2008 Toronto Supercross, two of whom made the main event. This kid has mad skills!!

Said Scott Kandel, Chief Altruistic Officer of the Warthog Racing Academy, “Well it’s off to jolly old England with the Warthog Nation. With sponsors like MDK, MotoConcepts, and DeCal Works behind us as well as riders like Tyler, Jeff, Ben and Heath, I smell victory!! Regardless, a good time should be had by all, win or lose.”

Special thanks to the Business Manager of all things Warthog Alison Turner as she works tirelessly in support of the Warthog vision. Not to mention that she is a superb Life Coach.
