Davi Millsaps Released from Monster Energy Kawasaki 18

The following statement has been issued by Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A.:

IRVINE, Calif. (April 16, 2015) – Monster Energy Kawasaki has terminated its agreement with Davi Millsaps effective immediately. Unfortunately, this means our factory race team will not be competing at the final three rounds of the Monster Energy Supercross season but we will be cheering on our 250SX support team. Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki as well as TwoTwo Motorsports’ Chad Reed and Josh Grant in the 450SX class. With Wil Hahn continuing to recover from his injury, we are working hard on our motocross program and the factory team is looking forward to getting back to the track for the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross season opener at Hangtown on May 16.

Im initially quite shocked, but after the whole KTM "injury" or whatever really happened I'm more surprised Kawi ever signed him in the first place

I'm am not surprised, well a little bit but it didn't seem like he meshed with the team that well from the beginning

Davi did great on the Suzuki.. There is still a Suzuki ride available for outdoors Wink

Never good news when someone get's fired, and burning bridges in this industry can slam door's that may never be opened again.

One of the comments on Instagram was that he was "working with Honda building a new bike and using Kawasaki ideas, and Kawasaki found out." Could be completely groundless.. made up.. who knows..but thought I'd mention it.

Personal conduct policy violation...drugs, drunkenness, it could be anything. All we can do is speculate at this point. He has had a history lately of not completing his contracts. Very rare does a factory team terminate someone before the season is over without a very good reason. We'll have to wait and see.

Failed drug test? I can't think of any other reason to make it "effective immediately"....

My guess is that you can take something from the speed that they did it. Immediately doesn't happen because of results. We'll see what we can find out.
