KTM Red Bull Racing Team's Presentation

VALKENSWAARD, 30 March 2007- The Eurocircuit at Valkenswaard is ready to host the opening Grand Prix of the FIM Motocross World Championship - on April 1- and the KTM Red Bull Racing Team picked the Friday before this eagerly awaited event to present their team to the press.

Hiring 10 times Motocross World Champion Stefan Everts as the factory’s Race Director for Motocross activities, KTM worked a lot this winter, and built a very strong team spirit that could be noticed at their presentation.

The Belgian was among the KTM representatives at the conference, and so were Off Road Racing Manager Pit Beirer, and Communication Manager Thomas Kuttruf.

The riders Jonathan Barragan from Spain, David Philippaerts from Italy, Tyla Rattray from South Africa, and Tommy Searle from Great Britain are the four KTM factory riders this season, and they all looked like a big family to the many press members who attended the event at the KTM structure.

KTM’s Off Road racing manager Pit Beirer said: “I am very proud of this team, actually of this group; we had a very good winter, and every single team member worked their hardest. I have never seen such a motivated team working towards a target such as the World Title. This is what I am proud of, and this is what I can take a sip of champagne for; this is our first step, now we have to make very good races and go on the podium.”

KTM’s Race Director for Motocross activities Stefan Everts stated: “I have been working with the riders for some time now, and I am curious about what the results will be. We worked for the last couple of months, and hopefully we will get some good results by the end of year. I just miss racing a little bit, I mean being out there on the track, but the rest is ok. I am experiencing racing in a different way, for sure I will be nervous on Sundays, because I hope that my guys will be good.”

The KTM Red Bull Racing squad will start their weekend tomorrow, and will race the first of 15 Grand Prix’s on Sunday, April 1st.
