KTM North America Restructures Sales Department

New North America Vice President and Sales Manager Appointed

Murrieta, CA – KTM North America, Inc. has made a strategic move to refocus its dealer network and sales department just in time for the New Year. In line with this decision, two representatives have been promoted within the company. Brad Hagi, former Vice President of the KTM Street Division, will move to Vice President of Sales while former Canadian National Sales Manager, Tom Etherington, will step into the Sales Manager position for KTM North America.

Hagi recently joined KTM in October of 2009 as the Vice President of the KTM Street Division. A veteran of the motorcycle industry with over 20 years, and an accomplished Motocross racer and avid off road rider has domestic experience working for Yamaha Motor Corporation and most recently International experience living in Europe working for Ducati Motor Holding, Hagi is well suited for the Vice Presidential role. His background within the street motorcycle industry got him noticed, but his overall experience and expertise in the motorcycling community is what encouraged KTM leaders to quickly move Hagi to the head sales position.

“Building our dealer network is the key to our long-term business health,” stated Hagi. “As I transition into my new position, the spotlight will remain on the dealers with our goal to help further develop the existing KTM dealer network while reevaluating key markets where KTM may need to restructure.”

Joining Hagi at the KTM North America headquarters in Southern California is Etherington, who will make the move to “The Golden State” to implement his new role as Sales Manager of North America. Etherington has worked at KTM since 2003 where he started as National Sales Manager for KTM Canada. With almost 30 years experience both as a General Manager of a multi-line dealership and working with multiple OEMs, Etherington is a great fit for the Sales Manager position. Etherington will oversee the KTM Regional Sales Managers and work together with Brad toward the new vision for KTM dealers.

“KTM is determined to make the best of the current economic situation and a restructuring of our dealer network and sales team is in line with this goal. Hagi and Etherington have the skill set to bring our sales team and dealer network to the proper level to increase KTM’s market share during this economic downfall. KTM is confident in their abilities and is looking forward to 2010 and beyond,” stated KTM North America President Jon-Erik Burleson.
