KTM AMA MX Results: Washougal

 The famed Washougal MX track hosted a record breaking crowd and some of the years’ most intense racing.

Heavy rain before the start of moto one made for great conditions as the riders in the Lites class blasted off from the gates. Chris Gosselaar, Andrew Short, Josh Grant, Ryan Villopoto and Mike Alessi all sprinted off the gates and jockeyed for position. Nathan Ramsey was pushed mid-pack. Early into the race Villopoto suffered a mechanical problem and was forced to retire from the race. Alessi sliced through the crowd and took third for the day and also regained the Championship points lead. Ramsey was fourteenth. 

In moto two it was Red Bull KTM rider Nathan Ramsey who grabbed the holeshot while Short, Grant, and Alessi followed. After a lot of dicing back and forth, it was Short, Villopoto, Grant and Mike Alessi in the top four. Nathan Ramsey ran strong and finished sixth.
