K&N Engineering Re-Signs as Presenting Sponsor for 2006/2007 BooKoo Arenacross Series

K&N Continues Support Of Series & Race Teams

Fort Worth, TX (October 20, 2006) – Mike Kidd Entertainment Group (MKEG) – one of the country’s leading motorcycle race producers, is proud to announce that K&N Filters has re-signed as the presenting sponsor of the BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series.

K&N Engineering, Inc. is the presenting sponsor for the 2006/2007 BooKoo Arenacross Series. K&N came on board at the ground level for the series during the inaugural 2005/2006 season where product, service and success were and continue to be key elements of K&N’s sponsorship. In addition, K&N posted over $20,000 in Contingencies for the 2006/2007 Racing Season. If the riders aren’t running K&N Filters in the bike now, K&N is offering them a profit center if they decide to give them a try.

“I’ve been a supporter of K&N since 1971,” said Mike Kidd, Arenacross Director. “K&N is a long standing name in the automotive and motorcycle industries. K&N’s credibility helps us with other sponsors and fans.”

Josh Demuth and Babbit's Kawasaki put K&N on the podium many times winning the BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series. Providing a product that top riders can use and win with is one of the goals of K&N. “If our product can prove itself on the dyno and to the rider, then we’ve done our job,” said K&N Brand Manager Johnny Jump. “I’m here to ensure these guys get the service they deserve. Backing up a BooKoo Arenacross Championship is no easy task. K&N is working closely with a couple of key teams, hoping for some luck and another championship.”

In Arenacross, the start is one of the most important areas of the race. It can be hard to make passes and there is not a lot of time. Riders with K&N products can get out early and others have a hard time catching up. Throttle response off the line and horsepower to the rear wheel are some of the main benefits K&N offers.

“I rode professional Flat Track Racing from 1970 through 1983,” said Kidd. “In 1981 I was the AMA Grand National Champion. I have always used K&N and would never use another filter.”

“We appreciate Mike Kidd Productions offering K&N the Presenting Sponsor opportunity for the BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series for 2006/2007,” said K&N Vice President of Product Development and Engineering Steve Williams. “K&N realizes the growth of the Off-Road and motocross industry and its customers. It is our direction to grow with it, as a recognized supporter and leader of this market.”

The BooKoo Arenacross Series is a National Championship Series which gives local racers the opportunity to race against the nation’s best best arenacross riders in the country.
