Press Release

Jeremy McGrath returns for 2nd annual Monster Energy/Powder Mountain MX!

Eden,
Utah (Aug. 5, 2010)

–
The
second annual Monster Energy/Powder Mountain Motocross will once again feature
the King of Supercross himself – Monster Energy’s own Jeremy
“Showtime” McGrath - racing on the track he designed the weekend of
Aug. 19-22.

Last
year’s inaugural Monster Energy/Powder Mountain MX drew an astounding
thousand entries and 15,000 fans which made this the largest outdoor motocross
event in the history of Utah. Sculpted into the Powder Mountain ski runs, the
amazing views from the 8200’ elevation make for a highly memorable MX
experience.

"The
Powder Mountain race was awesome last year,” said pro racer David
Pingree. “That event has more potential than any place I've been in a
long time and hopefully I can get back and be a part of it again. I love
getting up to the mountains and being somewhere a little off the beaten path.
At Powder Mountain I actually get to race at a location like that … it's
a special event."

Beginning
with an optional early practice on Aug. 14th and 15th,
the Monster Energy Powder Mountain MX will span four days from Aug. 19th
through the 22nd – the ‘official’ practice running
on the 19th. McGrath, who designed the course, will again be the
featured Monster athlete. Race registration and camping reservations can be
made online. It’s only $50 per class to race on this amazing track over
the ski slopes at Powder Mountain, featuring full range of amateur classes
– from Novice to Veteran – Pro and Women’s classes.

Parking at
the event site is limited since Powder Mountain’s main parking lot has
been transformed into the stage for the motocross and vendors. Free
shuttle service from Wolf Creek’s Festival Field, 1 mile north of Eden’s
4-way stop, will run continuously starting at 8:30 a.m. Friday through
Sunday. Admission to the event is $10 per person, per day and free for
children ages 4 and under.

Back for 2010
is the Monster Energy Recycle Program – Bring a Monster Energy can to
recycle and you will gain full access to the Monster Energy VIP Pit Area.

Added
McGrath: “I can’t wait to get back to the Monster Energy/Powder
Mountain MX. It was one of the most fun weekends I had all year on my
motorcycle. Great track, great fun and a nice crowd … loved it!”
