Jason Conlon Makes a Strong Showing at Stateline and Prepares for Moto-X with New AMA Number

Frederick, MD (April 8th 2008) - Jason Conlon proved that he is a force to be reckoned with this weekend at the 4th Annual Stateline Supermoto Challenge in Primm, NV. Conlon battled in the front of the pack all weekend, finishing with two strong 3rd place finishes in the 450cc and Open Pro classes.

CHM Exhaust started off the weekend on Friday with a 5th place finish in the team race for Conlon and team manager Roger Hensley. On Saturday Conlon finished 3rd in the 450cc class after an impressive 2nd place in the heat race and an amazing battle in the main. In Sunday’s Open Pro heat race, Conlon got the holeshot and led for 5 laps before getting passed in the dirt on the last lap by Brandon Currie and finishing a split second behind him. The Open Pro main was equally as exciting, and Conlon scored his second 3rd place finish of the weekend.

The season continues next weekend at the ESPN Navy MotoX race in San Diego, CA. Conlon will compete in a heat race on Friday for a spot in the Main, which will be aired Saturday on ESPN (check your local listings for time).

“Stateline went well for me,” said Conlon. “My training over the winter months is paying off and I am definitely ready for MotoX. I have to thank CHM Exhaust and Roger Hensley for their continued support, as well as my other sponsors. It means a lot to have them on board, and I look forward to riding my best season yet.”

Conlon, who has been running #294 on his Honda CRF450R, also has been awarded a new number by the AMA for the 2008 series. Conlon will now race under #18 starting this weekend.

CHM Exhaust is the primary support for Jason with bikes and race mechanics. Funding for gear, food and travel expenses come from these personal sponsors: Carmichael Honda, Pro Honda Oils, Roger Hensley, Dunlop Tires, Sunoco, Supermoto Engineering, East Coast Wheels, PowerBandzMX.com and Access Media Lab.
