Jake Moss Wins Australian MX Lites Championship, Now Looks to Career in America

At round 9 of the 10 race Australian National MX Series, 19-year-old Serco/Yamaha rider Jake Moss from the beach town of Sussex Inlet an hour outside Sydney in New South Wales, Australia, won the MX Lites overall for the day. After moto 1 Jake had achieved a life long dream, by clinching the MX Lites Championship and by the end of day left with a commanding insurmountable 92 point lead with only 1 round remaining.

Jake said "It really hasn't sunk in yet. By Raymond Terrace (round 4) I knew I should win it and haven't lost any points since then." He continued on, "It was nice to have the pressure off (after moto 1) but I still wanted to win. I really want to thank Gavin Eals and everyone at the Serco/Yamaha Team and the people at Yamaha Australia, without them and my family this championship would not have been possible. I have been with them for these first two years of my pro career and it has just been an awesome experience!"

Now Jake will prepare for the final round next weekend and then shortly after that take his flight to America to begin the new chapter in his life, an MX career in the United States. "I am really looking forward to racing in America and can't wait to get started" Jake said. "The team I will be working with for the next two years is going to provide me a great opportunity to prove myself and show what I am made of to the rest of the world. With hard work and the great team of people I will have around me, I know I will have everything I need to fulfill my dream."
