FUNCHAL (PORTUGAL) - The FIM Off-Road Awards 2006 edition are ready to surprise the many guests with a glamorous celebration, taking place this Saturday at the Monte Carlo Bay Resort.

Saturday, the 25th of November, will see the arrival in Monaco of the many riders, guests and VIPs, settling in the wonderful Monte Carlo Bay Resort, that hosted also the 2005 FIM Off-Road Awards.

The evening will begin with a Press Conference at 6.00 pm, in the “Salle America” of the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel. All Motocross and SuperMoto Champions will be there for the international press and the guests, who will enjoy free cocktails.

At 8.30 pm, the “Salle des Etoiles” will host the gala dinner and the Awards ceremony. During the celebration of the FIM Off-Road Awards in the “Salle des Etoiles”, there will be a show from “Fame-The Musical”; it will celebrate the concepts of challenge, competition and passion, matching the character of both Motocross and SuperMoto.

The Monte Carlo Bay Resort will host the FIM Off-Road Awards this weekend

The second edition of the FIM Off-Road Awards will be connected with the first auction for Youthstream’s partner Wings for Life.

The two-year-old Spinal Cord Research Foundation was founded by former Motocross Champion Heinz Kinigadner; it is supported by Red Bull, and since 2006 it is supported by Youthstream too.

After Saturday’s FIM Off-Road Awards, riders’ gear from the Motocross of Nations and the helmets of Stefan Everts, Christophe Pourcel, Yves Demaria, Thierry Van Den Bosch and Bernd Hiemer will be placed on an eBay auction.
