Introducing MXRanking 1

MXRanking (www.mxranking.com) is a web based software application that enables Racers and Promoters to work together with Clubs, Organizations, Manufactures, Services and Fans to grow motocross to a level that rewards all facet of the sport we love.

MXRanking removes the boundaries of clubs, organizations, states, and countries so riders can rank themselves wherever they race. It enables racers to locate events based on contingency, rider skill, track quality, event ranking, and much more. Racers can find manufacturers and services that promote and support the sport. Riders can create sponsor awareness with their Ranking, locate practice tracks and riders from around the globe and so much more!

Basic MXRanking Racer subscription is free, with Premium racer subscriptions costing just $39.00. Premium subscriptions offer free gate entry and membership discounts at select events on the MXRanking National Event Calendar. MXRanking will soon offer manufacturers contingency at select events throughout the year.

MXRanking to Cover Florida Winter AMs

Jumping straight out of the gate, MX Ranking will be attending the 40th Annual Unlimited Sports Florida Winter Am Series starting at Gatorback Cycle Park January 1-2, 2011. The series then heads to Dade City January 8-9, Reddick January 15-16, and finishes back at Gatorback January 22-23. For full series details visit www.unlimitedsportsmx.com

For 40 years, this Florida Series has been the training ground for past, present, and future motocross stars. Top riders from around the globe migrate to the warm weather, challenging tracks, and tough competition the Winter AMs provide. Riders like Bob Hannah and Ross Pederson have made this series a ‘must do.’

The MX Ranking RV will be at each event to provide racer support for the new National Ranking System, helping racers get their results entered and showing them where they stand at each round.

Racers already on the MXRanking system can add the Florida Winter Am events to their calendar today and pop over to the MXRanking RV at the events to enter their results right after their motos. Rankings for each class, as well as overall rankings for all the classes a racer enters, will be updated live each night.

MXRanking may even have some cool prizes and awards for MXRanking members at each round of the series.

The site is designed for the riders, event promoters, clubs, manufacturers, and fans in mind so be sure to find ‘Bigwave’ Billy at the races and check out why MXRanking is motocross without limits.

Billy has vast experience as an event reporter as well so be sure to check www.mxranking.com for photos, videos, reports, and interviews as he follows the series around Florida.

Our Team

MXRanking is proud to announce the signing of Billy Rainford to our team. Known more commonly as ‘Bigwave’ around the industry, Billy brings with him a wealth of knowledge gained from his 30-year involvement in motocross.

He started racing in 1980 and moved his way up through the ranks before leaving the sport to get a University Degree. As we all know, the draw of motocross is strong and he was pulled back to it. This time, his equipment was a camera and a laptop. He has spent the last 6 years traveling the various motocross circuits, taking pictures, doing live webcasts, and telling stories.

As the man in charge of Event Marketing and Promotion at MXRanking.com, you can be sure to find Billy at races near and far. He is always quick with a smile and will be more than happy to explain how MXRanking works, how it can benefit all of us involved in the sport, and get you hooked up. Billy can be reached at bigwave@mxranking.com

We’re also proud to welcome Travis Hesketh to the MXRanking team. Well known in the motocross community, Travis brings significant experience as both a top amateur and professional racer.

Travis started riding motorcycles when he was 4, but the racing bug didn’t take full hold of him until he was twelve. He turned pro at the age of 18, but a few injury filled years ended his professional career.  Still racing today, Travis couldn’t walk away from the sport he loves, and will continue to ride and race for as long as possible.

In his new role Travis will work with promoters, clubs and racers to bridge the gap in communications, for Motocross, Cross Country, ATV and FMX events around the country. Travis can be reached at travis@mxranking.com
