Injury Report: Kyle Cunningham - Fractured Wrist

Vital MX - Kyle Cunningham will not be lining up for Motorcycle Superstore Suzuki this weekend due to a fractured wrist. He will undergo therapy over the coming weeks and will return to racing in Las Vegas. Get well soon Kyle!

MotorcycleSuperstore.com Suzuki (April 8, 2016) - Kyle Cunningham suffered a fracture of the radius on his right wrist and will not be racing tomorrow night at the Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis.  Currently, Cunningham stands 9th in the West Coast points Championship, and has finished 15th in the Supercross class while riding the East Coast races on the RMZ 450 Suzuki.

The fracture took place on the 10th round of the Monster Energy Championship in Toronto, Canada.  After a heavy crash in practice, Cunningham proceeded to get it checked by the doctor, however, no fracture was found.  During the following weeks the pain was still lingering, and after Santa Clara, Doc Bodner at the Asterisk Mobile Medical Unit X-rayed Kyles wrist and found the fracture.  On Monday the 4th, a specialist casted his wrist for sufficient healing, and will remain in it for 10 days.

Cunningham will resume normal riding after a week of therapy and the cast is removed.  He will be ready for the last round of the Monster Energy Supercross in Las Vegas.

Jimmy Albertson will return aboard his RMZ 250 Suzuki this weekend in the East Coast Championship after suffering a broken sternum in Toronto.
