Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to Serve as Host Hotel for the Monster Energy Cup

AURORA, Ill. (August 27, 2012) – Feld Motor Sports^® announced today that the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas will serve as the host hotel for the Monster Energy Cup, which takes place at Sam Boyd Stadium on Saturday, October 20.

For fans heading to Vegas to catch the world’s top supercross and motocross riders compete for $1 million at Sam Boyd Stadium for the Monster Energy Cup, a limited number of rooms are still available at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Free shuttle buses will be available for all fans between the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Sam Boyd Stadium throughout the race day. Shuttle buses will run from 12:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. and following the race from 10:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.

The 2012 Monster Energy Cup features an all-new track design inspired by five-time Supercross Class Champion Ricky Carmichael. The Carmichael-inspired track design will consist of supercross and motocross obstacles unlike any other racetrack design in the world. More than 200’ of the track will be built into the grandstands, and the riders exit the stadium and race through the Monster Energy Fan Zone outside of the stadium and through the pit area before they catapult back into the stadium. The Monster Energy Cup posts a $250,000 purse with the winner walking away with a $100,000 check, and any rider that wins all three Main Events will take home $1 million.
