Grand Prix of Sicily’s official presentation

FUNCHAL (PORTUGAL), 8 July 2011 – The
International Circuit of Triscina – Castelvetrano is looking forward to
hosting the Grand Prix of Sicily, the fourth round of the 2011 FIM
SuperMoto World Championship and UEM SuperMoto European Championship,
scheduled in Sicily on the August 28^th weekend.

The presentation of the Sicilian Grand Prix to the media took place in Palermo on Thursday July 7^th in the offices of “Coni Sicilia”: the Italian National Olympic Committee of Sicily.

Among
the guests of the presentation there were: Francesco Mezzasalma
President of the FMI Regional Committee of Sicily, Eros Lodato Vice
President of “Coni - Province of Palermo”, Raffaele Pirri rider and
Organizer of the GP, Gaspare Anastasi owner of the Triscina track and
Andrea Corrao of Smmart Post.

The
next round of the 2011 SuperMoto World and European Championships will
see great novelties such as technical changes of the track made in order
to improve the layout and a shuttle service to facilitate the
connection of the circuit with the airport of Palermo.

Another
special feature will be the GoldenTyre Trophy, so riders will have the
chance to enter in the race and compete for the substantial price money
offered by GoldenTyre.

The
Grand Prix of Sicily will be supported by “Coni Sicilia”, Region of
Sicily, Province of Trapani and the city of Castelvetrano.
