Gold Rush at X Games for Fox Team!

Irvine, CA. (August 7, 2007) – Fox is pleased to acknowledge the success of our Team Athletes at this years X Games.  Ricky Carmichael and Adam Jones both captured first ever Gold Medals while BMX star Scott Cranmer added to his X Games success with a Silver Medal.

The X Games held a special allure for the GOAT. “I’ve always felt like an outsider because I’ve never had my discipline in the X Games before and now to finally have it and be the first one to win a Gold Medal is awesome,” said Carmichael who also collaborated with ESPN on the race format and design of the track.

Adam Jones used a variety of signature tricks to lock up his first ever X Games Gold Medal. His winning run included the Stripper Backflip and a Backflip Cliffhanger.  Jones also secured a Silver Medal in Best Trick by nailing a Backflip Shaolin.

This year’s Silver Medalist in BMX Park, Scotty Cranmer, landed a Triple Tailwhip and was the only rider to pull a Front Flip over the spine, but in the end just missed out on the gold.
