GoPro To Capture Ronnie Renner’s FMX World Record for Highest Air at the Red Bull Experiment

PESCADERO, Calif. (July 10, 2008) – GoPro teams up with Freestyle Motocross Superstar, Ronnie Renner, as he flies into freestyle fame for the Guinness World Record of the highest air ever achieved by motorcycle on a Quarter pipe on Friday, July 11 at round three of the Red Bull Experiment in Los Angeles. Renner will attempt his sky-high jump onto a customized steel quarter pipe that measures a total of 99-feet wide and 25-feet high, with a 23- foot channel gap between the take-off ramp and landing.

Renner’s customized quarter pipe is set up beside the famous historic landmark, the Pacific Park Ferris Wheel at the Santa Monica Pier, allowing for the perfect stage for hundreds of spectators. For those unable to see the action live, Renner’s GoPro Motorsports HERO video camera mounted on his helmet will give the world a first-hand view and insight to what it feels like to soar so high on a motorcycle.

Renner will also continue to wear GoPro’s Motorsports HERO in various contests, demos and other events in 2008 and beyond. Be sure to visit GoPro’s Website for exclusive video blogs and footage as he looks to defend his X-Games Gold Medal in the Step-Up competition this Summer.

GoPro’s Motorsports HERO is an easy way to capture quality, on-board footage for all motorsports. In addition to being able to shoot 56 minutes of continuous video with sound, the Motorsports HERO can also capture three-megapixel still photos automatically every five seconds while you just focus on the ride.

Included with the Motosports HERO are a number of attachment accessories for easy interior and exterior mounting of the camera on all types of motor vehicles. Mount it under the front or rear bumper for low angles or inside the windshield with the suction cup mount. Triple adjustable pivot angles, micro size and weight, and adjustable sound recording that yields excellent sound quality make this camera the most convenient and efficient on-board camera available.
