Glen Helen Presents the 2011 USGP Track Map for the Monster Energy Grand Prix of the United States 4

Glen Helen Raceway has redesigned their world-famous USGP Track layout for the 2011 Monster Energy Grand Prix of the United States.

San Bernardino, Calif. - April 5, 2011 - Glen Helen Raceway is proud to announce the new track layout for the 2011 Monster Energy Grand Prix of the United States. The new track was designed specifically for the Grand Prix, held May 14-15 at America's Playground in Southern California.

The USGP Track may have a new look, but all of its legendary characteristics remain intact. Straight out of the starting gates the best racers from Europe's FIM World Championship circuit will compete with America's best from the AMA Supercross/Motocross circuit for positioning around the truly unique Talladega turn. First out of the dramatically banked Talladega takes the Hole Shot as well as an early positioning advantage on a challenging course ahead.

Glen Helen's USGP Track is known for its steep hills, which racers will have to sprint up and negotiate back down. Awaiting the world's best riders are the appropriately named Mt. St. Helen, Yamaha Hill and The Falls. Glen Helen's inclines always make for an exciting race. The European riders do not often see courses of this intensity in the FIM circuit, making Glen Helen a truly unique stop along the way.

Another feature of the new USGP Track is the partial integration of the REM Back Track connecting the Triple Step-Up to the Alessi Turn. After a few flat-track turns racers will continue across the finish line and maneuver through the two rhythm sections on either side of the treacherous Falls hill.

The 2011 Monster Energy Grand Prix of the United States is primed to pit Europe's best outdoor riders against America's stadium-stomping champions. Tickets are on sale now at https://tix.clicknprint.com/tix/SilverStream/Pages/pgIndex.html?siteID=487 with options for Sunday-only, weekend, and VIP packages.
