GNCC Racing's Maria Forsberg Takes X Games Gold Medal in Inaugural Women's Enduro X

Mandi Mastin finishes fifth and Ashley Crouch takes seventh

Los Angeles, Calif. (July 31, 2011) - Defending
Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series Champion Maria Forsberg
claimed the first-ever X Games Gold Medal in the Moto X Enduro X Sunday
at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, Calif.

KTM's Forsberg settled in behind Kacey Martinez for the first few
laps until Martinez got hung up in a rock section and went down. From
there, Forsberg rode a calm and consistent race as most of the field
struggled to get through the rocky boulders and log jumps that made up
the inaugural X Games 17 Enduro X course.

"It was really challenging because all the girls out here are really
good riders," Forsberg said. "Endurocross is all about consistency, so I
just tried to stay on the bike as much as I could."

Multi-time GNCC Champion, Mandi Mastin posted a fifth place finish at
her first-ever Enduro X, with GEICO JG Off-Road Honda's Ashley Crouch
taking home seventh.

The 2011 Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series returns from
summer break September 10 and 11 at Unadilla Valley Sports Park in New
Berlin, Ny. For more information on the series, visit www.gnccracing.com.
