French Riders Took First Positions in Italy

SAN SEVERINO MARCHE, ITALY, 27 April 2008 – The third event for EMX2 European Championship was in Italy. French Valentin Teillet got the podium, again. It was the third podium for seventeen years old KTM rider this season. He won the race with second place and the victory, although it was not the race track that he would like very much.

EMX2 European Championship start

First race was won by Arnaud Tonus (KTM) from Switzerland. Teillet was close to the victory. He finished only three seconds after Tonus. The winner of the last event, French rider Loic Larrieu finished third. The best home rider in the first race was Pier Filippo Bertuzzo on the fourth position, but he did not make good overall result because he finished the second race already in the first lap.

Teillet won the second race with a big advantage infront of the rivals. He had a very fast start and he was continuing with the strong tempo. Teillet prooved reliability of his KTM bike and good cooperation with the KTM JM Racing Team. Home Italians did not have too big success in the second race. The best was Rudy Moroni with the eighth position.

Three another French riders finished behind Teillet. Second was Loic Larrieu, Cedric Soubeyras finished third and fourth was Christophe Charlier. French riders are very strong this season and they are dominating since the first race. Their next opportunity will be already next weekend in Plomion.

Rider's comments:

VALENTIN TEILET: »I did not like that race track very much. This is not my favourite ground. It was not an easy weekend, but I did two fantastic races. In the first race I was not the fastest after the start, but I had a better continuation. The race track was difficult. I would like to thank to my KTM JM Racing Team for their support. Next weekend it will be the fourth event in France. It will be my home race and I hope for a good result.«

LOIC LARRIEU: »It was my second podium this season. We did everything for the best possible results. I am satisfied with preparation of the bike, I think it is really good. The race track was hard. In the second race it was easier to controle the situation. I am happy for this result.«

CEDRIC SOUBEYRAS: »I am very satisfied with today's result and also with my team. My results are proof of our good work and cooperation. The first start today was very bad for me and I finished sixth place. In the second race it was much better for me. I finished second and I got second podium this season. The race track was difficult and hard.«
