LAS VEGAS, NV (September 10, 2012) - Freegun Underwear would like to extend a gracious ‘Congratulations’ to Mike Alessi. Coming off a solid Supercross season in which he made every Main, Alessi carried momentum from the opening round at Hangtown to the final at Lake Elsinore.
With a new bike, team, and attitude, Alessi was the only rider to challenge champion Ryan Dungey throughout the year. With a unmatched talent for nailing holeshots against the worlds best 39 other racers Alessi was upfront often and put on a show for the fans.
With a moto win at Washougal, scoring points at every round, and numerous podium finishes, Alessi turned what could have been a challenging season into one of his most rewarding. Alessi was involved in several back and forth battles with Dungey and while coming up short of his championship goal, never gave an inch en route to a well-deserved 2nd overall in the National Championships.
