Press Release

Foremost Insurance Spinechillers Honda of Fairfield Gets on the Podium Twice in Kansas City

Nathan Skaggs 2nd in AX Patrick Massie 2nd in AX Lites

Advance,
NC
– (January 17, 2011) The Foremost Insurance Spinechillers Honda of
Farifield team showed that they will be in the hunt for Arenacross
championships this year, picking up podiums in the AX and AX Lites
class. Nathan Skaggs finished second in the AX class getting the team
their first AX podium this season. Patrick Massie also finished second
in the AX Lites main event and won his heat race.

Kansas
City timed qualifying was a mixed bag for the team with Ames qualifying
in 5th, Browning in 12th and Skaggs in 16th. Massie was 3rd in the AX
Lites timed qualifying.

The AX heat races were
definitely nerve racking for the team with Zach Ames getting landed on
by another rider, Skaggs crashing in lapped track and Browning getting
pinched off in the start. Ames would still finish his heat race in 4th
place, Skaggs finished 5th and Browning was 6th. In the AX Lites class
Patrick Massie had a clean start and came out of the gate in 2nd place,
he passed for the lead and took the win.

Patrick
Massie put in an amazing effort in the AX Lites main event. Getting an
8th place start was not what he planned but he quickly worked his way
up to 4th place. An ill-timed red flag bumped him back to 5th with
eight laps to go. Massie rode an amazing race and secured the 2nd
position by the end of the race.

In the AX main event
it was Nathan Skaggs at the front of the pack at the start and in 3rd
place after the first turn, Ames was in 10th and Browning in last
place. Skaggs rode a smart race and settled into a comfortable pace.
Ames was blazing fast all in the main but just about took himself out
of the race in the whoops about midway through the race. He was in 5th
when he hit the hay bales and finished in the same spot after an
amazing effort. Browning put in some textbook passes and worked his way
up from last place to an 8th place finish.

“Kansas City
was closer to what I think the guys can do. Even with numerous on-track
complications we were able to pull off two podiums. We are still just
getting started, but this was an exciting weekend for the team,”
commented team owner Dallas Avery.

After the second round the team standings are as follows:

AX

Nathan Skaggs – 4th place (two points out of second)

Zach Ames – 5th place (five points out of second)

Willy Browning – tied for 7th place

AX Lites East

Patrick Massie – 2nd place

The
third round of the series moves to Dayton, Ohio in the Nutter Center on
Saturday, January 22, 2011. For more information about the series visit
