Press Release

Factory Beta Racing Team Ready for More EnduroCross Podiums in 2012

Cody
Webb ready to win races and Max Gerston aiming for a junior
championship

Irvine,
CA (March 20, 2012) –
The
Factory Beta Racing team will have two top riders and a new team
manager heading into the 2012 GEICO AMA EnduroCross championship,
presented by Lucas Oil. The relatively small Italian motorcycle brand
has a rich history in off-road motorcycle racing as well as Trials
and Cody Webb proved the bikes capabilities during the 2011
EnduroCross series. For 2012, Alan Stillwell, the owner of Stillwell
Performance, a successful suspension modification business has been
retained to manage the team and help further develop the bikes. Webb
will be back for 2012 and will be joined by Max Gerston, the 2011
EnduroCross Open Amateur champion. Here is a rundown on the 2012
team:

Cody
Webb:
Webb
was perhaps the biggest surprise during the 2011 GEICO AMA
EnduroCross series. The 2010 AMA Trials Champion had proven his
ability to consistently get through tough obstacles but right from
the first race, he showed the aggression of a Motocross racer. He
earned two podium finishes, set the fastest qualifying lap at the Las
Vegas finals and finished fifth in the overall championship. The
confidence gained and additional practice and testing during the
offseason has Webb ready for more success in 2012.

Max
Gerston
:
Twenty year old Max Gerston broke into the EnduroCross scene in 2011
and became a front runner in the Open Amateur class and walked away
with the AMA #1 plate by winning the Las Vegas Grand Championship
final. He will now get Factory Beta support as he moves up into the
Expert class full time and focuses on winning the E3 Spark Plugs
Junior Championship, which allows riders 21 and under to compete for
a championship within a championship.

Alan
Stillwell is extremely excited about the opportunity to help Beta
further improve their results in 2012 and had this to say; “Cody
has put a lot of effort into improving his racing skills to back up
his technical talent and it really shows. He had great results on a
very stock bike so now that we have been able to test and personalize
the settings; he is going to be much stronger for 2012. And I have
worked with Max for a while now so it is fun to see him get the
opportunity to represent Beta while going after the EnduroCross
Junior championship”.
