FMF Racing Starts the New Year with a Bang

January 5th 2009 - FMF rider and extreme sports athlete Robbie Maddison once again amazed the Las Vegas crowd on New Year’s night with his Red Bull New Year No Limits jump. Maddison successfully created a world record by jumping 100 feet on top of the replica Arc de Triomphe and also stepping down off it at the Paris hotel! The jump was a one of a kind amazing feat, and it was all thought up by “Maddo” himself. There’s no telling what Maddison has in store for the rest of the 2009 season, but I can assure you whatever he does it will be one to remember.

Just a few days after Robbie Maddison’s world record jump, the stage was set for round one of the 2009 AMA Supercross Series at Anaheim Stadium and FMF Racing’s Josh Grant did not disappoint. In what was his first race in the premier Supercross class, and his first race with Joe Gibbs Racing, Grant capitalized on his competitor’s mistakes and won the opening round in convincing fashion. “I got a really good start, and just set into a pace behind James and Chad, when those guys got together and went down I just told myself to be consistent. I knew I was in shape and could ride the 20 laps, I just wanted to be smooth” said Grant. Look for Grant and the entire Joe Gibbs Racing team at round two of the AMA Supercross series in Phoenix next weekend on January 10th 2009.

While Grant was busy winning out west in Anaheim, fellow FMF rider and Honda Tuf Racing’s Jeff Gibson took the points lead after the first round of the AMA Arenacross series in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Gibson was able to stay consistent and was on the podium each night. Look for Gibson and the entire Tuf Honda Racing team at round two next weekend in Baltimore, Maryland.

FMF would like to congratulate these riders on a great start to the 2009 season! For more information regarding FMF products please visit www.fmfracing.com
