FLY Racing's Canard Wins Jacksonville SX‏

Monster
Energy Supercross arrived in sunny Jacksonville, Florida this past
weekend for what turned out to be one of the most exciting and crazy
rounds of the year. The weather was hot, the racing even hotter, and
FLY Racing riders put on a spectacular show for the Jacksonville
crowd as they once again filled 25% of the 450 class main event.

In
the 450 Class,
Trey
Canard took the lead off the start and quickly pulled some distance
on second place Chad Reed. A late race pass by Reed would test
Canard’s resolve to win and he responded with an immediate return
pass, put his head down, and charged to a spectacular second career
450 main event win.

Team
Red Bull/KTM Racing rider Andrew Short also had another great night
putting his FLY gear and helmet into a 5th place finish. Team BTO
Sports/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki put both of its riders, Michael Byrne and
Jason Thomas, into the main event and finished 12th and 13th place
respectively. Super-privateer Weston Peick once again put his Rock
River ride into the main event, but an early get off in the main
event forced him to DNF the race.
