Durham Earns First Win in New Orleans

CORONA,
Calif., (April 16, 2012) – The Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New
Orleans was host to a memorable night of Monster Energy Supercross
for the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki race team.

Darryn
Durham earned his very first Supercross Lites East main event win on
Saturday!

Darryn
Durham has been searching for a Supercross Lites East main event win
all season, and he finally found what he was looking for in New
Orleans. He navigated his Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki machine
into the early lead and held strong to take a career-first win in the
Lites class! He is tied for second overall in the Supercross Lites
East Championship.  Congratulations Darryn!

Blake
Baggett finished in the runner-up spot, giving the Monster Energy/Pro
Circuit/Kawasaki team a 1-2 finish in New Orleans. He sits fifth
overall in the Supercross Lites East Championship.

Tickle
had his work cut out for him in New Orleans.

Broc
Tickle suffered from an early-race incident that pushed him to the
back of the pack. He remounted and started picking riders off
one-by-one. He charged back into top-ten territory, and finished the
race in tenth. He now sits tenth overall in the Supercross Class
Championship.

The
Supercross Lites East Region now takes a two-week hiatus as
Supercross Lites West jumps back into the scene. Monster Energy/Pro
Circuit/Kawasaki’s Dean Wilson will now make his way to Seattle’s
Century Link Field with the points lead in Supercross Lites East,
while teammate, Tyla Rattray, will continue to recover from injuries
sustained earlier in the season. Broc Tickle will head to Seattle to
continue on in the Supercross Class.
