About the 2012 Fly Racing Ponca City Mx Championship

Since the 1960’s, all types of motorsports racing has taken place at Jack Blevins Park.  For the past 4 decades, championship motocross racing has been at the forefront of the AMBUCS association.  The AMBCUS is a nonprofit organization helping disabled people.  The AMBUCS depend on this facility and motocross racing to make their mission possible.  The Ponca City Mx Championships has consistently been a proving ground for amateur racers of all ages.  For over 40 years, this event has seen the likes of many amateur racers like Justin Bogle, Trey Carnard, Eli Tomac, Jimmy Albertson, Nicco Izzi and Dean Wilson.  These riders have passed through the event on their way to becoming top ranked pro riders and even champions.  For 2012, the industry, sponsors, race teams and amateur racers will once again embark on this great event.  No pre qualifying is necessary.  The race will host a 3 moto format, using heat races to qualify the field down to a 40 man gate.  For classes with no divisions, all three motos count for the overall championship.  Those classes having divisions, the qualifiers and LCQ’s will be for gate position only.  Two full motos will count for the overall.  There will also be site laps before every gate drop.
