Dubya USA on the Podium at Hangtown National

• Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey took second place in the 450 class at the season opener for the 2012 outdoor nationals.
• Dungey’s KTM teammate Ken Roczen claimed third place in the 250 class.
• Rockstar Energy Suzuki’s Jessica Patterson took the overall win in the WMX season opener.
• Lucas Oil/Troy Lee Designs/Honda’s Tarah Gieger claimed the final spot on the WMX podium.

Orange, Calif. - May 22, 2012 - Dubya USA would like to congratulate Dubya athletes Ryan Dungey, Ken Roczen, Jessica Patterson, and Tarah Gieger on their podium finishes at the opening round of the 2012 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Natonals at Hangtown over the weekend.

“It’s a rush for us to see these talented athletes using our products to take them to the top,” said Dubya founder Kristin White Anderson. “We’re proud to support riders in the 250, 450 and WMX classes, and to see them succeed.”

Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey and Ken Roczen claimed second and third in their respective classes using Dubya’s Kite/D.I.D wheelsets. With the first round now in the books, both riders are in excellent positions as they continue to pursue the 2012 championship.

Rockstar Energy Suzuki’s Jessica Patterson has become one of the most successful WMX riders in history since claiming her first pro title in 2000. The 28-year-old Florida native’s resume includes 19 amateur motocross championships, 6 pro motocross titles, and a 2008 ESPY award nomination for “Best Female Action Sport Athlete.” If Saturday’s victory is any indication, Patterson’s Talon/Excel wheels from Dubya may carry her to another championship in 2012.

Troy Lee Designs/Lucas Oil/Honda’s Tarah Gieger has 3 amateur championship titles, an X games gold medal, and in 2007 became the first female to participate in the FIM Motocross of Nations. As one of the top WMX athletes in the world, Gieger and her Talon/D.I.D wheels will be one of Patterson’s primary competitors for the 2012 WMX championship.
