Dragon Racing Fuels/AG Motorsports Southwick Race Report Presented by Cernics KTM

Southwick, MA
- Dragon Racing Fuels/AG Motorsports pulled into Southwick with a
couple of new faces on the team. #281 Jeremy Medaglia and #297 Dalton
Carlson joined the team in recent
weeks to fill in and compete for a spot on the 2012 team.

In
moto 1, Jeremy and Dalton came out of the first turn in the top 20. As
the moto went on into the later laps, The Dragon Racing Fuels riders
found themself in 13th and 14th. With the rain,
rough track conditions, and lappers, things got pretty dicey and when
moto one was over The Dragon Racing Fuels/AG Motorsports /Cernics KTM
riders finished 16th and 17th.

When
the Gate fell on moto 2 the track was in its worst conditions of the
day and the Dragon Racing Fuels riders were 22nd and 25th
after the first lap. With the clock winding
down into the closing laps, #297 Dalton Carlson had worked his way up
to 18th with # 281 Jeremy Medaglia in tow. With 2 laps to go, Jeremy
could no longer see and had to make a stop at the mechanics area to
change his goggles. Dalton went on to claim 18th
for the moto and 18th overall on the day.

“I
was happy that I finished both motos today and score my first pro
points…” said Dalton. “I had to not finish practice because of some sore
ribs that I injured and I could hardly breathe so
I was saving myself for the motos.”

Jeremy
went (16) (27) for 21st overall. “I was happy with my first moto but
made some mistakes that cost me a 13th or better but with the conditions
it was ok”… said Jeremy. “In the second moto
the roost was way bad and battling the whole time for positions took
its toll on my goggles and could no longer see at all and instead of
crashing I pulled into change goggles'… with two laps to go and I just
made it worst with my eyes and such. I am very
disappointed with my second moto and looking forward to next week at
Steel City.”

“This
track is always tough and with the weather, it made it even tougher”…
said Al Albiker, Team Manager.  “I am proud of Dalton and Jeremy today.
Things were not perfect and they stepped up
and performed. I have been looking for riders this year that have the
toughness to finish motos and have that “Rocky” attitude to overcome and
I think I have found them. The outdoors is a tough sport. The whole
crew did a great job this weekend. The Dragon
Racing Fuel in the tanks, the Cernics KTM bikes, and the AG Motorsport
motors with the Rocket exhaust.”
