Dodge/ Sycuan Casino/ Hart and Huntington/ Bel-Ray Racing Supercross Team Daytona Race Report

Carlsbad, CA (March 12, 2012) -
Round 10 of the AMA Monster Energy Supercross series took place at
the Daytona International Speedway on Saturday
night.  The track in Daytona is always a tough one, but
the rain on Saturday made it even more of a challenge for the riders.
Josh Hansen was the only racer representing the Dodge/Sycuan
Casino/Hart and Huntington/Bel-Ray Racing Supercross team this
weekend.   

Although Josh Hansen (#100) was calm
and confident going into the day in Daytona, it didn’t exactly go
as he had hoped. After finishing out of qualifying position in the
heat race, Hansen got a good initial start in the last chance
qualifier before colliding with another rider in the second corner.
Their bikes were stuck together long enough for the field to get away
and Hansen was forced out of the race. He failed to qualify for the
main event for the first time this season.

The Dodge/Sycuan
Casino/Hart and Huntington/Bel-Ray Racing Supercross team has faced
some unfortunate setbacks this season, with injuries to Josh Hill,
Ivan Tedesco, and Kyle Partridge.  As a result of these
injuries, the team has decided to hire a fill-in rider, #36 Kyle
Regal, for the remaining rounds of Supercross effective this weekend
in Indianapolis. The team feels confident that with Hansen and Regal
healthy and ready for competition, and with Hill and Tedesco
returning in the next few weeks, the team will be stronger than ever
and will continue to deliver great results.

After 10 rounds of Supercross action,
Hansen sits in 12^th place in the overall standings.

The next AMA Monster Energy Supercross
Series race will be held this Saturday, March 17th at Lucas Oil
Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
