Division7/Star Racing/Yamaha - San Francisco Supercross 2

San Francisco, CA (January 31, 2009)- AMA Supercross rolled up the coast of California during the week to a sunny San Francisco and did battle at the AT &T Park. Division 7/Star Racing/Yamaha featuring #164 Michael Hall and #207 Sean Collier we're both feeling fresh after the short hiatus.

Heat #2 had both Division 7 riders lined up on the gate, Collier managed to get a great start seeing him hold down 3rd position. Hall was in tow sitting around 9th early on; however on lap three while scraping to keep a transfer spot. The Yamaha pilot took a hard get off when he and another rider collided upon landing from a double jump, forcing Hall out of the race and into the LCQ. All the while, Collier was seen riding flawlessly and easily finished out in 3rd.

When the LCQ got underway, Hall had set himself up perfectly. Lurking in the 3rd spot, he was putting the pressure on for the much of the race to try and secure a place on the line for the main event. Almost completing the pass more than once, Hall made a last lap error that took him out of contention. Although the main event wasn’t in the cards for Hall, he did receive the Asterisks Medics Gas Card and conducted a very professional interview to all 40,000 + fans in attendance.

The main event took to the track, not finding the same starting form as earlier in the night, was Collier running 16th. Moving up to 15th on lap two, his race would be short lived when he got off balance mid air after touching with another competitor. This resulted in Collier being forced to land with one leg out, and in the process strain his knee. With that he exited the race, and took a 19th for the night.
