Division7/Star Racing/Yamaha - Red Bud MX National

Over the past weekend Division 7/Star Racing/Yamaha visited Michigan’s Red Bud Track & Trail for the sixth round of the AMA MX National Series. With track and weather at a premium, team riders #41 Matt Lemoine, #43 Broc Tickle, and #159 Darryn Durham all were at full tilt in anticipation of good results.

Taking top honors on the day would be Lemoine, starting moto one in 26th after being collected up in huge first turn pileup. Lap after lap, Lemoine picked up positions very steadily and by mid moto he had raised himself quite a ways. So far indeed, that when the moto came to a culmination, #41 had knocked sixteen positions off of his start, giving him a hard earned 10th. A start in moto two of 20th, left some room for improvement. On lap two Lemoine had taken his YZ250F to 16th, once there he tried his best for the remainder of 30 min. +2, but things never developed just right and 12th was his finishing destination.

For Tickle moto one started horribly, when he to unfortunately was knocked down in the first turn crash and his bike was damaged to much continue the race. Moto two got underway with Tickle acquiring a 13th place start, now with his potential coming to existence, Tickle held his own and rode up into the 10th spot. Striving to keep his form, his pace fell off momentarily and that shifted the #43 machine back to 12th. Reluctantly, Tickle found some reserve energy and bounced back in the closing laps to nab 10th.

Darryn Durham had a pretty quiet day, having struggles in both motos, he then raced with all he had and went on to finish 18-35 on the day.

Darryn Durham 18th 35th = 24th
