Division7/Star Racing/Yamaha - Anaheim III Supercross

The AMA Supercross Series visited a rain soaked Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Ca for the third and last time this season. With Sean Collier out due to a knee injury he suffered at the last round. Division 7/Star Racing/Yamaha’s Michael Hall #164 came in optimistic, upbeat, all the while knowing he needed to use his best mud riding skills to do well.

As the night show began to the joy of everyone attending, the rain clouds held out from making track conditions any more worse off. Earlier taking 7th which marked his best timed qualifying run to date, Hall Lined up in heat #2 and got out of the gate in a less than stellar manner. Moving up through the pack diligently, the tail end of lap two would see Hall hit the ground hard as he skimmed a whoop section. The violent crash left the rookie in a great deal of pain and in need of a transport to a medical center.

After further observation this week, Hall has been diagnosed with a fractured rib and a slightly punctured lung. This brought a decision to heal correctly and not attempt to contend at this weekend’s race in San Diego. However, Star Racing will still have its semi on display and all four riders signing autographs.
