DNA Energy Drink/BTO Sports.com/BBMX Team Rolls the Dice in Vegas

Las Vegas, NV - The exciting final round of the AMA Supercross series was in Las Vegas and although there was a championship officially awarded to James Stewart, we’d like to award our riders the “Good Job Guys, We Love You” award for Supercross excellence. Team riders Jason “Gnome Life” Thomas, Kyle “Too Tall” Keylon, Shaun “Mr Skin” Skinner, Bryan “Don” Johnson and Ben “Mush” Lamay all rode their hearts out this season (well, the last three races for Lamay) and we’d like to thank them for this.

As far as Vegas the race goes, Thomas picked it up and had his best placing of the season in the 450’s. The hard packed slick Vegas track agreed with the diminutive Thomas and he raced his way to an eleventh in the 450 main event. This was very impressive but we couldn’t get a comment from JT as he was off to go play some blackjack paddywack in some casino immediately afterwards. Keylon after flying in practice, went from last to 9th (the final transfer spot) on lap 4 and then hit the dirt.  In the LCQ, a bad start, 4 laps and 8 east/west shootout factory support riders racing for 2 spots ended his night early. Lamay came up just one spot short in his heat race & two positions short in the 450 LCQ from making his first career 450 main.  Ben got his first Lites main event of his SX career with the team in Salt Lake and almost nabbed his first 450 main in Vegas.

“All the guys rode great all year and we worked our asses off all season. I’d like to thank each and every sponsor, the mechanics, the truck driver the riders” said Team Manager Forrest Butler as he gave everyone a DNA Energy Drink shower from the top of the semi. He was muttering something about being a golden god but we stopped paying attention.  On to the great outdoors!
