DC Announces Kim Dresser as Vice President of Communications and PR

Vista, CA…DC is pleased to announce the addition of Kim Dresser as Vice President of Communications and PR, effective immediately. In the newly developed position, Kim will oversee all of DC’s brand communication initiatives. Kim will report to Jason LaBeach, DC’s Senior Vice President of Global Marketing.

Kim comes to DC with over 10 years of experience in the action sports and fashion arenas. Her extensive public relations and marketing background has exposed her to a variety of board sports, music, fashion and corporate companies. Most recently, Kim served as Marketing Director for Vans’ Girls Division where she oversaw and executed all marketing initiatives including grassroots, interactive, signature events, athletes, promotions, web, media buying, POP/visual merchandising, and cause initiatives.

 “I have been a huge fan of the DC brand dating back to my PR days at Snowbird when Ken and Damon used to visit the resort,” said Dresser.  “Now a decade later it’s a dream come true to be working for DC during such an exciting time of growth and evolution.”

Prior to Vans Kim worked at BWR Public Relations in Los Angeles as Vice President of Lifestyle Marketing where she spearheaded their new lifestyle marketing initiatives as well as focused on further exposing existing PPI clients through film, television, celebrity and event marketing. Her history in the action sports industry includes serving as Group Communications Director for Billabong, Element skateboards, VonZipper and Honolua Surf Co., as well as communication positions at Four Star Distribution, Red Bull Energy Drink, Crossrocket and Monsterskate.
