Congratulations To Monster Energy Athletes On Epic Performances At X Games 16

Monster Athletes Combined Took Home Nine Medals:

Four Gold, One Silver, and Four Bronze

Corona, CA – Monster Energy congratulates its athletes
on yet another amazing weekend of competition and medals at X Games 16
in Los Angeles, CA.

Pierre Luc Gagnon (PLG)
leads the list of successes with
two gold medals, chalking up wins in both the Vert and Best Trick
competitions that took place at the Nokia Center in downtown Los
Angeles.  This marks the first time a skateboarder has ever won X Vert
three times in a row.

Monster Energy’s Jake Brown backed that up with his
redemption Gold in Skateboarding Big Air.  This marks his second
consecutive gold medal and fifth X Games medal on the Big Air ramp.

Jamie Bestwick lived up to his reputation by taking home his
fourth consecutive gold medal in BMX Vert.  Coming in as the clear-cut
favorite he was able drop in and immediately take the lead. His
domination in BMX Vert is inarguable with his seven X Games gold medals.

Monster Energy?s Andy Buckworth surprised all with a
well-earned bronze medal in BMX Freestyle Big Air at X Games 16,
unveiling his double front flip on one run and a superman front flip on
another run.  It was his first podium in his first X Games—the 19-year
old from Australia was the youngest rider in the field as the event
took over the L.A. Memorial Coliseum.

Monster’s methodical trick machine, Nate Adams took
home two medals earning a silver on Sunday night in Speed & Style
and also won a bronze in Moto X Freestyle, the two medals brought his
total X Games wins to 10 medals.

Monster Energy’s Sara Price became one of the youngest
women to medal in Women’s Super X earning her a bronze medal at X Games
16 in Los Angeles, alongside Monster’s defending 2008-2009 Super X Gold
Medalist Josh Hansen who also secured bronze in Moto X Super X, making this his third straight medal in Super X.
